Hello, it’s May 29, 2026, and today I want to talk about something a little controversial, something that may even make you uncomfortable. We are going to examine the latest widespread deception scheme circulating in the mainstream and secondary media through the microscope of scripture. My objective in this discussion is to address the deception that we are seeing in our headlines and demonstrate how none of it’s random, because like Ecclesiastes says there is nothing new under the sun (Ecc 1:9), and what has been will be again.
I pray that after reading or listening you will walk away encouraged and motivated to dive into the Word of God and to deepen your intimacy with him.

I’m going to rattle off a few news stories that have been circulating recently in US and global news:
Did you know, there have been multiple United States Congressional hearings since July 2023 about what was previously referred to as UFOs, and has since been rebranded by the US Federal government as UAP, short for unidentified anomalous phenomena. A former US Air Force Intelligence officer and UAP Task Force member David Grusch testified under oath in Congress in 2023 that the US was in possession of “non-human biologics” recovered from dozens of crashed UFOs.
Did you know, in 2025, The Age of Disclosure documentary was released featuring 34 current and former U.S. Federal government officials to reveal what they referred to an 80-year-old global cover-up of non-human intelligent life and a secret war among major nations to reverse engineer advanced technology of non-human origin.
Did you know May 8 and May 22, 2026, the United States Department of Defense released tranches of over 160 previously classified UAP files including videos and photographs
Can you believe on May 13th, President Trump announced during a White House press conference that we have a new miracle drug that can bring dead people back to life
I’m sure you’ve heard, as of May, 2026 the media has reported that FBI are searching for at least 10 U.S. nuclear and aerospace scientists that have either turned up dead or missing
Did you know that on June 14 1947 a rancher named W.W. “Mac” Brazel allegedly encountered some foreign metallic-looking wreckage that was the start of the Roswell alien incident or “Project Mogul.” By the end of 1947, mass hysteria had seized the global mindset, with more than 300 alleged “flying saucer” sightings in the last six months of that year alone
Lastly, did you know on May 18th during a Smart Mobility Summit in Tel Aviv, Israel Elon Musk boasted about his self-proclaimed “Jesus level miracles” where he’s been able to restore eyesight in people that have never seen before and enable people to walk again through brain computer interface chips. The Interviewer then inquired about how Elon prioritizes the various deities to determine which one to serve (OT biblical text to explore) (NT bibilical text to explore)
Okay so now we’ve set a foundation for what the world is saying, now let me ground us in biblical truth and lead us in prayer before we begin:
Ephesians 6:12 says “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world’s darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
And in Colossians 2: 8-9 we are instructed “See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, thank you for your word that has been given to us so that we may know the truth, and so that we can have clear guidance on how to live upright and not fall victim to deception in this present age. Lord, I pray that you would open our hearts and minds to the guidance of the Holy Spirit, I pray that you would give us eyes to see and ears to hear your wisdom, convict our hearts Lord, lead us to repentance, and help us walk in obedience so that we can be found blameless before you. I ask these things in Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Alright let’s jump in.
The Word of God tells us to “Be always on the watch, and pray that we will be able to escape all this about to happen…Luke 21:36,” but in order to be on watch, we have to know what to watch for! To make sure we were prepared, Jesus gave us 10 signs to watch for, but today I’m going to laser in on two, widespread deception and rapid increase of knowledge. To describe what these signs would be like Jesus Himself said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be before the coming of the Son of Man.”
So, to really assess the current state affairs, we need to clarify what Jesus was referencing about the times of Noah, but in order to do that we have to go back and understand the days of Noah. The biblical account of Noah begins in Genesis 6, approximately 1,600 years after the creation of Adam and Eve. Typically, when most people think about Noah, they think about the ark and the flood, but oftentimes we forget WHY he built the Ark and why he out of all people was saved. So, let’s see what the word says. If you want to read along with me, turn in your bible to Genesis 6:1-9 , I’m reading from the NIV version.
When human beings began to increase in number on the earth and daughters were born to them, 2 the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose. 3 Then the Lord said, “My Spirit will not contend with[a] humans forever, for they are mortal[b]; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”
4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.
5 The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time. 6 The Lord regretted that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled. 7 So the Lord said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created—and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground—for I regret that I have made them.” 8 But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord…Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
Okay so let’s unpack what it was like.
In summary, I’d say the days of Noah were marked by total moral collapse, violence, corruption, biological manipulation, and indifference to God, alongside a complete rejection of truth.
When reading this, what sticks out to me is the biological manipulation and the wickedness that follows. Verse 4 tells us that “The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown”.
While there is certainly questions we could explore about that sentence, what is clear is that it was not just moral corruption, but a corruption of creation itself, where boundaries that God established were being crossed, resulting in the Nephilim, a hybrid offspring, something outside of God’s original design, and this was not just a one-time event.
In Numbers 13:33 we learn that the spies saw the Nephilim giants, the sons of Anak, and they felt like grasshoppers in comparison, in 1 Samuel 17 we meet Goliath from Gath who was fighting for the Philistine camp, he stood six cubits and one span which in inches is approximately 9 feet and 9 inches. Then in 1 Chronicles 20:4-8 there is another battle with the Philistines and we meet Goliath’s brother Lahmi and we learn about another giant with six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot. In 2 Samuel, 1 Chronicles, and Ezekiel we hear of even more and learn from the ranks of the Babylonians, Chaldeans, and more. We even learn that King David is listed as having some of these “mighty men” in his army and as his chief of officers.
These later sightings reiterate what we hear in Genesis 6:4 about the Nephilim not only being on the earth in the days of the flood, but afterward as well. This makes it clear that whatever began in Genesis 6 continued beyond it, and when Jesus points us back to Noah, He is not just talking about general wickedness, he’s highlight the legacy of human distortion, a blurring of what God created to remain separate, and this is why we must understand that what we are experiencing and seeing in the world today cannot be explained by the physical realm alone.
Before I jump into our current affairs, I want to remind you that, Ephesians 6:12 or our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
And that Satan is the god (little g) of this world as stated in 2 Cor 4:4 when we’re told Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe.
Remember that Rev 12:9 reiterates this, saying “…the great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.”
I want this point to be crystal clear, because it is critical to understand the deception we are facing is not just natural, it is spiritual at its core, and if we only look at what is happening through a physical lens, we will miss what is really going on behind the scenes, because from the very beginning the enemy has worked through deception, not always by creating something entirely new, but by twisting, repackaging, and disguising what is already rooted in the spiritual realm, and this is where we begin to look at the narratives that are being pushed in our world today, especially when it comes to aliens, unexplained phenomena, and humans merging with AI.
Did you know that Columbia University scientists successfully used base editing to alter embryo DNA with precision, avoiding catastrophic chromosome loss that plagued earlier attempts, they believe this could prevent disease, or create “designer babies.”
Did you know that the resurgence of mysterious drone sightings across the united states sparked a resurgence of the project blue beam conspiracy theory, which claims that global elites plan to fake an alien invasion
Did you know that Based on a final risk assessment, a report written by FDA scientists and issued in January 2008, FDA has concluded that meat and milk from cow, pig, and goat clones and the offspring of any animal clones are as safe as food we eat every day.
Did you know that the first clone of a fully extinct species was born in January 2009 and that cloning of extinct or endangered species is an emerging scientific endeavor aimed at preserving biodiversity and preventing the loss of species due to extinction.
Did you know Elon Musck claimed they were "summoning the demon" with AI
For decades we have been told stories of beings visiting earth, abducting people,
interacting with humanity, and conducting strange encounters, and for many people this has simply been dismissed as science fiction or imagination, but when you begin to look deeper, a pattern starts to emerge, and that pattern is not random, it is consistent across cultures, across time, and across testimonies, and what is striking is that these encounters are often filled with fear, paralysis, and intrusion, which aligns far more with spiritual oppression than with the idea of advanced beings traveling across galaxies, and this is where discernment becomes critical.
Since we know Satan’s goal is to keep humanity separated from God, then deception will always come in a form that feels believable and acceptable to the culture of the time, and in our modern age, the language of “aliens” and “extraterrestrials” provides a framework that removes the spiritual reality from the conversation, replacing it with something that feels scientific rather than biblical.
However when we return to Scripture, we are reminded again that there is nothing new under the sun (Ecc 1:9), and that what has been will be again. Even the book of Jude speaks to this reality when it says in Jude 1:6–7 that the angels who did not keep their proper domain but left their own habitation are reserved in chains under darkness, and it compares this to the corruption and immorality that spread among humanity like in Sodom and Gomorrah, reminding us that rebellion and boundary-breaking have always been part of the spiritual conflict.
This is another warning given to us in the bible. In Luke 17:28-29 it says “And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building—But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.”
When we look at the present headlines surrounding this topic, we have to ask ourselves, are we simply seeing new discoveries, or are we witnessing old patterns repeating themselves under new names, because the enemy does not need to create something entirely different if he can successfully rebrand what already exists, and if what was once understood as spiritual deception is now presented as extraterrestrial contact, then it shifts people’s attention away from God instead of toward Him, and that is the key issue.
It’s important to note, deception doesn’t mean not real, 2 Thessalonians 2:9 says that the coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie. We know that the god of this world has been enabled to display real power. For example if we read (Exodus 7:8-12)
8The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 9“When Pharaoh tells you, ‘Perform a miracle,’ you are to say to Aaron, ‘Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,’ and it will become a serpent.a”
10So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the LORD had commanded. Aaron threw his staff down before Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a serpent.
11But Pharaoh called the wise men and sorcerers and magicians of Egypt, and they also did the same things by their magic arts. 12Each one threw down his staff, and it became a serpent. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up the other staffs
Also, Deuteronomy 13:1-3 warns against prophets who may perform signs or wonders but lead people away from God: "If a prophet or dreamer of dreams arises among you and proclaims a sign or wonder to you, and if the sign or wonder he has spoken to you comes to pass, but he says, ‘Let us follow other gods (which you have not known) and let us worship them,’ you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer."
Here, fidelity to the worship of the one true God is paramount, even above miraculous signs. Because ultimately what matters is whether people are being drawn closer to truth or pulled further into chaos and confusion, and this is why Scripture repeatedly calls believers to test everything, to remain sober-minded, and to stay rooted in the Word, because deception does not always announce itself, it often appears intriguing, mysterious, even fascinating, but underneath it carries the same purpose it always has, which is to distort, distract, and ultimately separate people from the truth of God.
The New Testament continues the theme of discerning true from false prophets. Jesus Himself warns in Matthew 7:15-16 , "Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them." This teaching highlights the importance of evaluating the character and outcomes of a prophet's ministry.
So in a time where narratives are expanding, curiosity is growing, and people are running here and there to increase knowledge as prophesied in Daniel 12:4. The call for believers is not to panic but to be discerning, not to be fearful but to be grounded in truth, remembering that no matter what is presented, no matter how it is labeled or explained, our foundation remains the same, and our victory is already secure through the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross and the finished work he did when he raised from the dead.
If we stay anchored in that truth, we will not be easily shaken by the things we see unfolding around us, but instead we will recognize them for what they are, signs that remind us not of fear, but of the nearness of His return.
At the beginning of this discussion I told you my prayer is that after this session you will walk away encouraged and motivated to dive deeper into the Word of God and to deepen your intimacy with him.
So I will close us out how we started, with scripture to ground us and prayer to cover us.
As you navigate this landscape of deception, remember Jesus' words in Matthew 24:24-25, he told us “false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen. See, I have told you in advance.
He goes further in 1 Timothy 4:1-4 stating "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron, men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires, and will turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths.
And then he warns us again in Matthew 24 saying that many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.
“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
So what can you do, how do you endure the current deception and prepare for what’s ahead? How do you guard your heart and mind to ensure that you don’t fall victim to false doctrine and don’t allow your heart to grow cold. Well we can look back to Noah. Genesis 6:9 says Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.
Hebrews 11:7 tells us "By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in godly fear built an ark to save his family. By faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith."
First notice that Faith was the first principle which led him to be “moved by fear.” Proverbs 9:10 tells us “fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”
Noah was saved because he trusted God completely—believing His warning even when no evidence was visible—and responded with reverent obedience, building the ark and separating himself from a corrupt world. His life shows that righteousness comes through faith that produces action. For believers today, three key ways to be found blameless are: (1) cultivate a daily, steady faith that trusts God’s word in every circumstance, (2) live with a reverent awareness of and heart towards God that leads to humility and righteousness, and (3) practice careful, consistent obedience to God’s commands, even when it is difficult or unpopular.
In Revelations 3:3, Jesus says to all believers who read it “Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.” And Acts 26:18 instructs us to open our eyes, so that we may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that we may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those sanctified by faith in Me.’
If you are not a follower of Jesus or you have not been walking faithfully with him there is no better time than now to make that commitment.
Responding to Jesus is the most significant decision you will ever make. It isn’t about achieving perfection, but about receiving a grace that transforms your heart and your future. If you’re ready to say ‘yes’ to His invitation, here is how you can begin. (check out the KNOW page for more info)
Romans 10:9 says “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Let’s pray.
Heavenly Father, Spirit of the Living God, I thank you that your word is everlasting, and that you love us enough to communicate with us through your word and through the Holy Spirit. Lord, your word says who can know their unknown faults; forgive us for our known and unknown sins. Thank you for grace and mercy. I ask that you would reveal areas in our heart that are offensive to you and that the Holy Spirit would help us grow humble ourselves before you and grow in faithfulness so that we may be found blameless before you.
And for those that don’t know you or that are not fully surrendered to you, I pray that you would nudge their hearts God and reveal your truth to them so that they can turn away from the ways of this world which corrupt and defile us and that they would seek you with their whole heart, and mind, and soul. I ask these things in your son Jesus’ name.
Amen.
